Navigon 7200T GPS Pictures (high quality)
July 6th, 2009I recently bought a Navigon 7200T from Amazon.com. While it is the second-highest rated GPS on Cnet.com right now, I was dismayed at the scarcity of information about the device. The reviews that I read from Cnet and Amazon were mostly positive, but I could never find a high-quality picture of the device or even a video of an actual moving map. (Navigon has produced several video tutorials for just about everything else, however.) The first thing I did when I got the device in the mail was take a bunch of high quality pictures. Enjoy.
Here is the device itself with the key to my car for size comparison. This thing was surprisingly tiny.
Here is the devices as it comes out of the box.
The device comes with a screen protector “to protect your device and to reduce the glare effect.” I love the instructions. “Remove the film and stick it to the display.” They almost insult the reader for not knowing how to put on a screen protector. ![]()
Here is the Navigon 7200T with the screen protector on. The process was fairly easy.
The bottom of the device has a Micro SD card slot, a reset pinhole, a mini USB port a standard mini-plug. Yep, that’s the kind you put in a regular music player.
There’s not anything of note on the right side…
The top of the device has the power button and the microphone.
There’s not anything interesting on the left side either…
Here’s the back of the device. You can see the speaker to the left, the cover for the external antenna port, and the mounting bracket with a cover inserted.
Here I removed the cover to the external antenna port and the cover for the mounting bracket.![]()
Here you can see all the accessories. There is a suction cup dealy, which comes in two pieces. There is a plastic disk for attaching the suction up mount to something other than glass (like the dash). There is a car charger, a mini USB cable, and bag for storing the device.
Here is a closer shot of the other side of the plastic disk. It’s smooth, and clearly made for the suction cup.![]()
I’ll be posting more about the Navigon 7200T as I document more. To check if I’ve posted more, search for “Navigon” on my blog.
